December Cosplay Spotlight
The White Queen and the Assassin.
We're spotlighting talent in the cosplay community!
Every month, The Variant showcases different cosplayers who display talent, creativity, and a positive voice for the cosplay community!
"Hey guys my name's Dommie!!
In real life I’m a 3-D modeler and I make assets in video games. I’ve been cosplaying for a few years but I’ve just started to take it seriously. I hope you like my Emma Frost and Mystique. I made Emma in about 3 hours for NC Comicon and Mystique came together in a couple of days. What I really love to do is make cosplays of Magic the Gathering because I’m a HUGE MtG nerd!!
My favorite video games are Overwatch and Pokémon. I love animals with short pudgy legs like corgis and munchkin kittens. I'm super energetic and I’ll strike up a conversation with anyone and everyone, including the wall.
I have big cosplay goals this year and can't wait to make y'all proud. Well that's me in a nutshell! Follow me on Instagram and watch me pursue my dreams!!"
Earlier this month, Dommie was recruited by our June Cosplay Spotlight, Awkward Turtle Cosplay to help us out at our booth at NC Comicon. We loved her so much we decided to keep her! And it's no secret we LOVE us some X-Men over at the Variant, so when she showed up dressed as Emma Frost we knew it was meant to be!!!
Dommie's Emma Frost was shot at Holly Hill Mall during Holly Hill Comicon.
Mystique was shot on location at Duke University's Free Expression tunnel.
Also the last 10 are a special Christmas set!!
